If you’ve worked with me at any time in the last 20 years, you may have noticed little stacks of personalized lists with checkboxes for every step of a file’s treatment. I’ve received many comments and reactions over the years, ranging from “Seriously? You can’t just remember what you did in a day/week/month/year?” to “What! That is a thing? Please show me how to do that thing right now.” One of the best and most surprising comments I’ve received in my career was from an old colleague, turning her screen so I could see the file properties where my name and creation date appeared and exclaiming “Of course I remember you! I still use the checklists you created for us 19 years ago every day!”
While checklists literally save lives every day, I just use them to save my sanity. That said, you can use the ones included in my ready to edit, reuse and reprint PDF checklists, in Letter format, for any context you choose.
